Endings, beginnings and moving on

Don't worry... I am NOT turning this into a video blog. I like to write too much and I HATE the sound of my voice. I just wanted to try out the iSight web cam I won on ebay a couple of weeks ago. I think it works! From time to time I'll probably stick in a little video message or something. You guys let me know what you think.

At the end of the video I said I was exhausted and heading to bed but I didn't. It's now 2:45am. I stayed up and watched the last 3 episodes of Battlestar Galactica. I had Tivo'd them a while back and haven't been able to watch them because it upset me too much. Sci-Fi Friday was "Our" thing. My ex and I. Every time I would start to watch it alone I would just fall apart. But the series ended and it's time to put an end to falling apart as well.

So I did a test run while I was on my flight to San Francisco last Thursday night. I had downloaded the final episode of Stargate Atlantis to my iPhone (I hadn't been able to bring myself to watch that either) and I thought that the flight would be the perfect time to watch it. And it was. I went through whatever emotions I was supposed to feel and when it was over... I was OK. Sure, I wish it hadn't ended (the relationship as well as the series), but guess it just wasn't working any more and it was time to evolve into something else. There is actually a new Stargate series starting soon called Stargate Universe and maybe it will be better than the last series. I guess everything has to end at some point, but that makes new beginnings possible.

So the shows we used to watch together, that used to bond us, are now gone. As long as I was tying up loose ends, I started reading the final Harry Potter book. I bought it the day it came out but hadn't read it yet. I really do have trouble with things I love ending. I'm working on it though. I remind myself that life moves forward, with or without us, and that people evolve and change. I don't know what the future holds for me, and, ya... that frightens me a little, but I'm in a good place right now. I feel strong and confident. I know I can handle whatever comes my way. Wether it be healing old wounds and reconnecting with my past in a different way, or moving forward in a new and different direction, I will be just fine. Feels good to be moving forward again.

Cynder is a cutie. She's lucky to be with you. Your voice is fine Nick it's wonderful to hear you speak. I know what you mean about moving forward. We sometimes have to kick ourselves in the ass to start. I'm glad you had a great time in SF.

Great Blog! San Francisco went well then. Battlestar had the same effect on me. Ending one journey and starting another. Very upsetting and a little scary.

Sue...
THANKS!!!

Stan..
Cynder is not pretty but she is cute. She's only got 3 teeth but there good ones! LOL! My voice is too "soft". Eh... what can you do?

Cub...
Awww, THANK YOU!

James...
I don't think anyone likes their own voice when they hear it. A friend once told me I sound like Michael Jackson when I talk and another told me to put some base in my voice. Not going to slow down yet... should be a very busy weekend.

wdavi...
I kind of started not liking Battlestar a few months back because it was too dark and depressing, but they actually did an OK job with the ending. I'm glad it's over though.

Ketchup on a Cheeseburger Lean Pocket = YUM!!! (try it).
You've "heard worse" voices? Gee... thanks. Ugh.
And don't mess with my rat... I mean dog! LOL. She does have a "used hard and put up wet" look to her. I try putting ribbons and bows on her but it's like putting lipstick on a pig. I have to admit that she looked AWESOME when I shaved her completely except for a bright pink mohawk! You can see a photo of that on my BigMuscle.com profile (LilGuido is my screen name there.)

Hey, I think "Anonymous" must be jealous or else "in love" in a school boy/girl kind of way. (Dipping pigtails in the inkwell or whatever is the equivalent in this century). I'm in Anne of Green Gables mode these days so that's the example that came to mind. --- Either it's the school boy/girl crush or it's Tober Brandt or somebody playin' with ya. At any rate "Anonymous" MUST be flogged for those comments ... and without a warm-up! They're askin' for a good old fashioned ass kickin'.

I happen to think BOTH you and Cinder/Cynder? are very cute, and that shyness you talk about comes though in the vid ... it's very sweet, sexy and becoming on you too.

Man, I can take an insult as well as the next guy ... but insult my dog and look out! Even if it probably was in jest.

I'm sure Anonymous was just playing around. Who would waste time to type a message and insult someone or their dog. And, like I said, my dog IS kind of rough looking. LOL.
Thanks for being my "knight in shining armor" and coming to my rescue! ;-)

Hey, my pleasure ... anytime. We can take 'im! ;o[)

Your "friend" that said you sounded like Michael Jackson should have kept his comment to himself. I don't think that at all.
Maybe a little bass, but Michael hell no!!!!!!

"Ketchup on a Cheeseburger Lean Pocket = YUM!!! (try it)."

Doesn't ketchup on a Lean Pocket, defeat the purpose of it being lean?

I've never tried the Cheeseburger lean pocket. I like my cheeseburgers old fashioned, in a regular bun.

Sheesh! These companies, I swear, they are all trying to reinvent the wheel. Like cheeseburgers needed to be improved upon!?! It's just more crap for them to hawk. LOL

Your voice is perfectly fine, and yes, I have heard worse. :P So please upload more videos their more fun.

Well, the rat has a face only a mother can love. I guess that would be you. :D Just kidding.

I want to know how you maintain that cut body of yours eating Hot Pockets!?

Nick Moretti said...

For the record... I eat Lean Pockets NOT Hot Pockets. They are not that bad for you if you don't abuse it. I eat so healthy all the time and they are my one little "bad" treat to myself. Truth be told, I could live of of them and the yogurt with the honey on the bottom. My two favorite foods in the world right now.

My goodness, I didn't mean to make you upset.

Your entitled to eat whatever you want. YES YOU ARE! EAT IT! EAT IT BITCH! LOL.

I still think Companies are thinking about the bottom dollar - and always coming up with strange ways to eat something that primarily didn't need to be reinvented. Like a cheeseburger - again, Love um' just the way they are.

Heck, If I was around you I'd encourage you to indulge more and eat very bad things! Like Chocolate Cake, cookie dough ice cream, and snickers bars. :D

Oh christ, Dillinger is here! :p

"Hey, I think "Anonymous" must be jealous or else "in love" in a school boy/girl kind of way."

- No, not in love, can't possibly fall in love with someone you don't know. But I will say he is a cutie!

- Yes it was tongue in cheek humor. Although I have wasted time to insult strangers on the internet. But it was because they were saying stupid things and it got under my skin. Right, Dillinger? What the hell r u doing here? You've ditched Steve and your 'favorite gay porn star' and moved to 'greener pastures'. How Cold! :p LOL!
